Wow! I Passed the “Are You Smarter Than a Ten Year Old” Quiz

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Yes, I am quite proud of myself. I passed the are you smarter than a 10 year old quiz. Of course, I am not 10 years old, I am 45 years old, but geography has never been my strong point. I found the quiz challenging, seen with a college education. I suppose if I traveled more, I may have a better grasp of geography, but I believe I am no different than most adults who would try this quiz.

I hat to admit this, but I only knew a few of the answers on the are you smarter than a 10 year old quiz from watching sitcoms on television. It is very interesting to find out how much, or how little, you really know about geography. This quiz has already been played by thousands of people, so I know that I am not alone in wondering about my own abilities.

The quiz is a highly entertaining way to pass time, and you can actually learn a bit about geography while playing. I found it much more entertaining than many other quizzes I have taken, as it has an geography theme, and a person can find out if they really are as smart as they believe they are. It must have been one smart 10 year old that created such a challenging quiz.

An Education in Deer Hunting in Public Hunting Areas

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Public hunting can be quite a challenge in many populated areas. This, however, is not reason for a company not to sponsor a day or weekend hunt for their employees. Sporting goods retailers especially, can use these goodwill events as to educate their employees about the challenges of public hunting, especially if the majority of the store’s customers hunt on public land. Once employees are familiar with these challenges, they are able to knowledgeably recommend the most appropriate equipment to potential customers who hunt on public land or offer hunting tips.

The largest problem with public hunting is the number of hunters in the woods at any time. Little private hunting land is left, and what is left is being leased for enormous sums of money. Blue collar hunters have little choice but to engage in public hunting. Smart hunters will take the time to go in as far as allowed, where few hunters tread. As new hunters start into the woods, the deer will flee back to your location, as if they are being driven right to you. Naturally, these spots must be staked out early, before other hunters arrive.

Sporting goods retailers should encourage their employees to sell rain gear and cold weather gear to those who engage in public hunting. Cold, rainy days keep many hunters off public land, and there is a much better chance of finding a prime hunting spot when the lands are less crowded.
