Social Worker Jobs: Lessen Selfishness, Throw Out Arrogance
Saturday, August 14th, 2010Living a life in a social world should not keep you away from humanity. In every day of your life, you will meet various types of people. Some of these people are those who have more abilities than you. Some of others are those with fewer abilities in living. Of all those people, there is maybe somebody who needs you.
As social worker, you cannot disobey others who need your help. You cannot stay away from your job in helping and assisting them. You should be ready to lessen your selfishness while you are doing the job. Whether it is assisting the elder in nursing home or taking care of a patient in a hospital, you will need to give your client your full attention. Social work jobs have no place for people who are selfish and arrogant. It is because the jobs are mainly about helping and caring others.
Individual people are not suitable for the jobs since they always think their selves come first before others. In the other hand, arrogant people, they seem to underestimate others. They always think they are better than others. It means to let them do the social worker jobs will not only increase the pain of the clients, but also cause the workers themselves to suffer from dissatisfaction. Furthermore, those people have tendency to lose temper easily.
