Great Uses for Conservatories
Conservatories are quite popular worldwide but particularly in the UK where getting as much sunlight as possible is important. A conservatory will increase the value of your home but it’s best benefit is the additional space it provides. A family can use a conservatory for any purpose; the original purpose was to use conservatories for greenhouses.
A conservatory is an ideal place for a home office. The large amount of light makes conservatories feel airy and bright, making even the dullest work seem more pleasant with natural sunlight as a backdrop. You’ll need to have your computer screen facing inward to prevent glare but then you’ll have a view that only top executives with corner offices enjoy.
Conservatories also make ideal playrooms for children. The natural sunlight puts the focus on the outdoors but keeps the children right where you can keep on eye on them. With nature to view, you just might be able to get them away fro the television and the video games. Make the conservatory a no TV room and let the kids enjoy the sunlight while you and your spouse can stargaze at night with coffee or wine after dinner.
The ‘extra room” can be put to any number of uses depending on your needs. Of course, conservatories do make ideal greenhouses where you can grow herbs year-round.
