Garden Benches Shaped Puzzle

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

Those with garden surely adore hot weather, because that is when most enjoyable these outdoor spaces, with family and friends. I have a theory that every year we must take advantage of seasonal changes to redecorate a room, even using a slight change when there is too much money, but always with the spirit of renewal not leave home for abandoned. In this case, why not renovate the garden through the furniture?

The garden furniture are available in many different materials such as iron, plastic, wood, wicker, etc., all with different styles, designs and different prices. However, it is not necessary to spend a fortune to have a simple and original furniture for the garden such as these wooden benches shaped puzzle.

These banks have the particularity of being able to be purchased separately, but also be able to join them whenever desired. Perhaps at some point you want to build a huge table full of friends and family, you can join … and perhaps one want to sit quietly in the garden to read or listen to music, then just take one piece and split the rest.

If you have children at home, surely these banks will love a puzzle. Also I have an idea: why not paint each piece a different color and use it in the child’s bedroom? Stay beautiful!

Breaking Some Rules of Decoration

Monday, November 15th, 2010

Who said there are no rules in decorating? As in all art, imagination is what counts … and each of us – every artist’s decor – you can create a totally unique and personal from what comes out of his head.

If you want to achieve an incredible atmosphere, nice staff without disaster, you just have to consider some “established patterns” in the decor – which respond to the logic a bit more than the taste – like when that time not to talk about furniture environments with narrow door. Otherwise … the imagination is what counts.

Here are some ideas for breaking rules at home decorating and achieve spectacular environments:

* A neutral color? The black! But how, not the neutral white color par excellence? Yes, say it is. But we can play a bit and try to detail in black colorful environments. It really does a fantastic effect.
* Pile ornaments on tables and shelves. Why a single portrait, sad and cold on the table, if we can put an entire collection? They can also be ashtrays, figurines, which comes to mind. This will give a table a lot more lively and attractive.
* Mixing styles. Have you ever tried to put a bright upholstered furniture in a rustic style? How about a rustic chair in an ultra modern? Try it!
* Mix upholstery and drapery fabrics (more…)

Painting

Thursday, November 11th, 2010

We saw some ideas for decorating a youth room and play with the simulator environment. Now that we have determined the colors we use, the whole family can help paint.

But there are some steps that we recommend to continue to achieve excellent results:

* Prepare the room that we painted, we should remove all ornaments, boxes and small furniture. Large furniture or chairs we can cover a large plastic or sheet into disuse. We must remove all electrical connection caps (for more security is better off the power for a moment) and any applet that can ruin when I paint. Finally, we masked with masking tape to delineate the areas to be painted (dividing walls ceilings or baseboards, doors and windows, etc.).

* Allow list the surface: if the state of the walls is good we can paint directly. Otherwise it is recommended to remove traces of old paint with a scraper and then sand smooth. If the wall has cracks, pasta should be used to cover them (plastic fillings), let dry and then sand smooth.

* Apply the fixing: this step can be skipped if the wall is in very good condition. If the wall is too porous or if the paint for the first time, the fixative will then get the paint to adhere properly. (more…)

Believe it or not we tend to “sin” every time we want to give a change to our thing, than buying new furniture and painting, wallpapering, etc … we will get everything to change her look, but the truth is that most cases we can say that the end always leave everything as a principle, albeit with new things clearly, and perhaps it’s better to embrace change from what we have.

This is the case of tiles, the bathroom for example, are always the same and we have only seen for what it is not a bad idea to take a brush and we choose to decorate in some special way, such as colored flowers a strip of tiles to be located by the wall.

Best of all, the paint brands, such as Bruges, have noticed these ideas and options on the market and tile paintings, with a special glaze for them and has a glossy finish and not get complicated life at all.

Decorating Small Houses

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Here are some tips for home decor to help decorate small houses.

* A rollaway bed helps save space, at least during the day. Have not seen one massive block in the middle of the room because it is built in bookcase.
* A cap on the shelf desk is enough to work day-to-day. There is enough space for important papers and other paraphernalia and when the work is finished it closes the lid again and the room is tidy.
* Drawers are very important. Over the years joins more stuff than you think. Open shelves are not the place for a thousand and trinkets. In drawers closed is easier to maintain order, and the room always has a clean appearance.
* Dual function modular elements are extremely practical.

The modules serve as seating and storage. There are modules with different internal divisions and lacquered black or white. One must be careful in choosing colors home decor. There should be a dominant color and contrast and other if you want to opt for a third, it must be a variant of existing ones. This widens the room, while some large varieties of colors make it smaller. Furniture varnished / lacquered or dark colors of the kind now commonly used wenge make it easier to buy more mobile future, because the natural color of wood, with lacquer or varnish, over time and over the years (more…)

Patio Furniture

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Guest article written by Rob Stone

One plastic table and four plastic chairs equalled one set of patio furniture. Well at least it did a few years back. One strong gust of wind and it went everywhere. Times have moved on and so has the standard and type of Patio furniture. The weather will play a large part and whether wet or fine the presence of a large umbrella is ideal a) for protection of you and your guests during the sunny spells and b) to protect the table during the wet and inclement weather.

The intended purpose of the furniture will help you decide upon the type of furniture you will need. For example if you entertain on a regular basis then think about an extending table. If not then consider a smaller bistro type table.

It is possible of course that you simply do not entertain nor do you want to sit around a table. Perhaps a swing type piece of furniture that goes gently to and fro while you sip a long cool drink and chill out in one of the best ways possible.

Choosing the material to be used is important and plastic, wicker and metal will be readily available. Wood is probably the most popular but will need a coat of a water resistant liquid to protect it. Whatever material the furniture is made from it will definitely need maintenance during its lifetime. Wood will be the dearest but the final cost will depend on the type of wood utilised. It is also a natural element and does not absorb hot or cold.

Wrought Iron and Aluminium are other materials available although the former will require sealing and painting to eliminate the chance of rust appearing. Wrought Iron items will be ideal in windy areas due to its weight. Apparently according to statistics Aluminium is the best seller of all and this is no doubt down to the fact that it does not rust and maintains easily however, given a strong wind, it has the same problem as plastic.

With Wicker items these will have a tendency to fade in strong sunlight and are really better used in conservatories where they can stand in the shade. They will also be inclined to take off in a strong windy environment.

Whatever time you spend on your patio whether mornings, afternoons or just at weekends it is worthwhile investing in whatever takes your fancy. Time has moved on since the days of plastic although this is still in use today however it does not compare with a beautiful Cedar wood table and chairs.

Avoid at All Costs to Recharge Your Furniture

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Once you’ve chosen your color palette,
Check with the natural light of day to see
if the colors you’ve chosen are good. This
is important.

Your furniture should contrast with the wall color
because it is a trick that they are not required to dull
and provide dynamism to your home.

Thus with the color of the furniture.

In the course you will find details and details of
this complicated process.

When you ask yourself the following antiques:

Is it worth restoring? (Sometimes a single layer
Paint may be the solution)

Will my style or not? (The main thing that makes you feel
well – if not sell it to another may work)

Is it organic with my family? (By this I tell
questions and listen to the views of people
you care if the furniture is a source of trouble, sell,
even cost you much and you’ll feel liberated
enter new energy)

An old piece of furniture can be a blessing for your home
independently of the main style of your stay.
For example, in a modern style, antique furniture
can bring a lot of warmth and personality to your
stay.

Avoid at all costs to recharge your furniture
recharge is a vice and a crime in decoration,
much that will cost you strip it was signed and
leftovers (think they are Michelin
prevent you from being agile and beautiful)
